HI folks,
When we want to talk about time in English we can say things like: there´s a long time and this kind of expressions but, when we want to express this ideia in Portuguese there´s a situation that even some native speakers confuse sometimes.
Generally, in Portuguese we use the verb "fazer" to talk about time, for exemplo: "faz dois anos..." but that´s the point!
Many people get confused and use this verb in the plural like: "fazem dois anos" but it´s not like that!
Even if you´re speaking about plural the verb "fazer" in Portuguese, when talking about time remains in the singular form.
This is something that´s considered a commom mistake for people who are learning the portuguese language.
So, pay attention to the tip for today: talking about time using the verb "fazer" the verb is in the singular, OK?
And just to remember all of you, I´m here to help you with these doubts don´t forget to conact me by email or skype to know more about portuguese and brazilian culture!
See you!
